Job summary

CarolinaEast is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Orthopedic Unit in New Bern, NC. The successful candidate will implement nursing philosophies and policies while providing direct patient care and serving as a charge nurse on scheduled shifts.

The Orthopedic Unit focuses on total joint and spine surgeries, emphasizing quality care through the nursing process, physician orders, and hospital policies. A comprehensive benefits package includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation up to $7,000.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NCBON approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license with NC State Board of Nursing or Compact license recognized by NC BON.
• Knowledge of current nursing trends and techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Demonstrate professional role modeling for others.
• Care for patients across age groups served on unit(s).
• Maintain current AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Orthopedic Unit.
• Serve as a charge nurse per Nurse Manager's expectations for assigned shift.
