Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for our busy Surgical Orthopedic Unit, 1 East. The 36 hours per week, day shift offers up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants and a starting pay rate for new graduates of $36.00/hour.

The RN provides competent nursing care using the nursing process and participates in a 24-bed unit serving orthopedic and general medical patients. New grads are welcome to apply and join the Transition to Practice program.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Registered nursing License (Required)
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate care and education to promote health and safety for orthopedic and medical patients.

Education
