Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Orthopedics at our hospital in Missouri. The role supports patient care using the nursing process, with accountability for assigned patients and coordination with other departments. The Day Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, on a Full-Time schedule (36 hours/week).

Qualified candidates will have an RN license (Missouri or compact), and a BSN or diploma is preferred. BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education required: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates the care effectiveness of other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
