Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedics unit. The role involves delivering care using the nursing process, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.

It is a full-time daytime position (36 hours/week) with a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shift. Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Missouri RN license (or compact licensure), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with eligibility for a Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure per state board of nursing rules.
• Hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
