You will coordinate patient care from intake through surgery, collaborating with the orthopedic team across multiple clinic sites, and provide specialized orthopedic nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia
• BSN or MSN preferred; enroll in BSN within 5 years
• BLS, ACLS certification as required for role
• Experience in orthopedic, perioperative, or surgical nursing is a plus
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care from pre-op through post-op for a seamless surgical experience
• Provide expert-level, age-specific nursing care per orders and plans
• Document patient care, assessments and responses to treatment
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery and ongoing care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote wellness and injury prevention
