Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO, seeks a registered nurse for ADT – Orthopedics. This full-time, day shift role (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts) focuses on applying the nursing process, coordinating patient care, and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality.

Required MO RN licensure (or multi-state compact), BLS, and hospital experience preferred. A BSN is preferred; other RN education routes are acceptable with appropriate licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: ADN, Nursing Diploma or BSN.
• Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure per state board regulations.
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred and may be required depending on unit.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates care effectiveness of other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
