Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a full-time RN to provide direct patient care at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. The role utilizes the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and coordinates care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

The position requires MO RN licensure (or compact licensure) with BLS certification; hospital experience is preferred. The shift is days, with 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or possess compact licensure, per state regulations.
• Experience: hospital experience preferred and may be required depending on unit.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
