Job summary

Meritus Health Radiology Tech at Meritus Ortho in Hagerstown is seeking a skilled technologist to perform diagnostic imaging focused on musculoskeletal conditions. You’ll support orthopedic providers to deliver high-quality radiographs in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with a schedule from 8am to 4:30pm and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The candidate should have an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, Maryland licensure, and at least one year of radiography experience,

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
• One year of experience as a radiographer preferred.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Licensure by the State of Maryland as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification in compliance with Meritus Health policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Operate and maintain digital radiography equipment with competence and care
• Prepare exam rooms, organize supplies, and clean radiographic areas to ensure readiness and safety
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures clearly, and assist other staff members as needed
• Obtain and document clinical information from patients accurately
• Observe patients and equipment during procedures, reporting any unusual occurrences immediately
• Record pertinent patient information in QA logs, electronic systems, and reports
• Serve as a resource to other staff, offering guidance and support as needed
• Assist with outpatient medical assisting duties (e.g., vitals, medical history documentation) when appropriate and after demonstrated competency
