Job summary

The Radiologic Technologist at Florida Orthopaedic Institute's Ocala clinic will provide quality patient care and customer service, radiographing patients with speed, efficiency, and compassion under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor.

You will operate fixed and portable radiology equipment to capture diagnostic images, ensure safety and quality assurance, and maintain licenses while supporting the Imaging Services team in delivering world-class orthopedic care in Ocala, FL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Current Florida license as Rad Technologist or BMO.
• Ability to operate fixed and portable radiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, including C-Arm equipment
• Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified body area
• Operate the computer console for storage, transfer, playback data, and image generation
• Ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Position patient on examining table
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation
• Examine radiology films for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness
• Maintain CPR, Florida License and ARRT License by CEU responsibilities
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
