Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI) Ocala clinic is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide quality patient care and radiography services under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor.

You will operate fixed and portable radiology equipment, ensure safety and quality assurance, manage records, and support patient satisfaction during exams.

This role requires a Florida license, CPR, and ARRT licensure with CEU compliance, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Current Florida license as Rad Technologist or BMO.
  • CPR certification and ARRT licensure with CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiology equipment to produce radiographs for diagnostic purposes, including C-Arm.
  • Adjust immobilization to obtain optimum views.
  • Operate computer console for storage, transfer, playback data, generating images.
  • Ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Position patient on examination table.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Examine radiology film for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness.
  • Maintain CPR, Florida License and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Description

JobSummary:

The Radiologic Technologist will provide quality patient care andCustomer service. They will radiograph each patient with speed,efficiencyand compassion.Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor,operatefixed and portable radiology equipment to take radiographs of designated portions of the body.Ensures quality assurance including record keeping, safety, and patient satisfaction.

COMPENSATION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, to include C-Arm equipment
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtainoptimumviews of the specified body area
  • Operate equipment at the computer console for storage, transfer, playback data, generating images, and other means
  • Assure patient safety and satisfaction
  • Position patient on examining table
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation and confidence
  • Examine radiology film for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness
  • Maintain CPR, Florida License and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • Current Florida License, Rad Technologist or BMO
