Job summary

Adventist Rehabilitation - Silver Spring, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for our Outpatient Rehabilitation department. H1B visa transfer sponsorship is possible.

The PTA will perform initial examinations, guide treatment plans, and coordinate discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications include an accredited PTA program, Maryland license, BLS, and ~1 year rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active Maryland License.
• 1 year of Rehab experience preferred.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care across rehab settings.
• Provide, or supervise, therapy interventions aligned with the plan of care and reexamine progress.
• Plan for discharge and follow-up, in coordination with the care team.
• Communicate and document patient management with the care team and supervise rehab aides/office staff.
• Manage schedule and inform management of caseload issues.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to patient status updates.
