Job summary

Reliant Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc. in Queens Village, NY is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered care to individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions.

You will conduct evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, administer interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families. NY state licensure, DPT, and BCLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on realistic patient goals and improved function.
• Administering skilled physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and modalities.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress and adjusting plans as needed.
• Educating patients and families on exercises, prosthetic devices, and daily living activities to maximize independence.
• Assessing home environments for safety and accessibility and recommending modifications.
