Job summary

Direct Orthopedic Care in Irving, TX seeks a full-time Physical Therapist to assess, plan and implement evidence-based rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions. You will perform functional assessments, guide exercise programs and collaborate with surgeons and clinicians across the care continuum.

The role requires DPT or equivalent and Texas licensure or eligibility, with experience in orthopedic settings preferred and a strong focus on patient-centered care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Physical Therapy with ability to interpret orthopedic diagnoses and plans.
• Expertise in Rehabilitation and Patient Care, including functional assessments, therapeutic exercise and manual therapy.
• Experience supporting Home Care programs with clear instructions and progressive home exercises.
• Active Texas state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• DPT or equivalent accredited degree required.
• Prior experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal settings preferred.
• Strong communication, time management and documentation skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to inclusive, patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate guests with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and guide patients through exercise programs.
• Conduct functional and mobility assessments to track progress.
• Educate guests and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physician assistants and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care.
• Document clinical findings and progress in the medical record and support discharge planning.
• Contribute to quality improvement and best practices for orthopedic rehabilitation.
