Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic RN to join our post-operative telemetry floor. This full-time role covers night shifts with 36 hours per week and eligibility for a sign-on bonus.

As part of our top-ranked orthopedic program, you will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with our team to deliver skilled nursing care. Active Kentucky RN license and BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

About the Unit

Baptist Louisville has two 24 bed all private room Orthopedic units. This is a post-operative surgical telemetry floor specializing in Orthopedics. The Orthopedic program is top-ranked by US News and World Report as a high performing hospital in knee replacements. New Graduate Nurses welcome.

Job Duties

• The Orthopedic Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the patient.
• The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.
• Orthopedic nurses must have strong critical thinking skills.
• The Orthopedic nurse acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient’s orthopedic journey.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

• Active Kentucky RN License
• BCLS required
• ACLS preferred
