Specialty Orthopedic Group in Mississippi is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to work with a surgeon in clinic and the operating room. New grads are welcome; surgical experience is a plus but not required.

The PA will rotate between Oxford and Tupelo locations, perform histories and examinations, order tests, educate patients, and assist in surgery. Accurate documentation and teamwork are emphasized. MS licensure and NCCPA certification are required.

Competenze

BLS / ACLS certification required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer and typing skills needed for EMR and PACS
Experience in a surgical specialty preferred but not required
Graduate from Accredited Physician Assistant Program by NCCPA
Licensed and credentialed by the Mississippi Board of Physician Assistants

Mansioni

Works alongside assigned physician, splitting time between the operating room and clinic.
Provides medical services to new and established patients under supervision, including history, exam, orders, education, and applying casts or splints.
Documents patient records timely and accurately.
Demonstrates up-to-date medical knowledge in patient care.
Manages patient workflow to enhance care while minimizing risk.
Assists in surgery, conducts rounds, writes orders, and formulates treatment plans.
Dictates histories, discharge summaries, and other notes.
Orders, prescribes, dispenses medications and orthotics as needed.
Maintains medical and billing records with accuracy.
