Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee. The Physician Assistant will work closely with our surgeons to deliver comprehensive patient care in clinical and surgical settings across multiple clinics.

The PA will perform exams, order studies, establish diagnoses, assist in surgery, and provide prescriptions and follow-up care. Travel to multiple clinics is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and active licenses and certifications.
• Exceptional customer service skills and communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Operating room experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., x-rays, MRIs, CTs).
• Establish a diagnosis, determine a treatment plan, and order necessary tests or labs.
• Work closely with TOA surgeons to evaluate and treat patients in the office setting.
• Provide procedures; assist in surgery and conduct appropriate follow-up.
• Prepare prescriptions and authorize refills for medications and controlled substances.
• Assist physicians and staff with specialized orthopaedic devices and fittings.
• Record patient progress notes and transcribe orders.
