Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Illinois seeks a Physician Assistant to support a board certified foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon with expertise in total ankle arthroplasty, sports injuries, and complex fractures. The PA will provide medical care in clinic and hospital settings under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include hospital rounds, operating room assistance, patient pre- and post-operative care, dictation of progress notes, orders for tests, and coordination between office

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with residency.
• Illinois PA license current and NCCPA certification.
• Orthopedic care training preferred; experience assisting in surgery.
• Two years experience in physician office or hospital preferred.
• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Surgeon in hospital and OR; rounds and consults.
• Perform minor procedures, injections, and wound care.
• Coordinate patient discharge and pre/postoperative instructions.
• Dictate H&P, consultations, discharge summaries.
• Order pre-op tests and imaging; document in EHR.
• Provide patient care in clinic and hospital settings.
