Job description

If you've been looking for a real way into orthopedics, this is it. I'm working with a well-established, physician-led orthopedic practice north of Dallas that is growing with the communities it serves.

They're open to new graduate PAs and experienced PAs, and they'll give you hands-on time in clinic, the OR, and the hospital.

Why this one stands out
  • New grads welcome. You'll train alongside experienced orthopedic and spine surgeons in a practice that wants to develop APPs, not just fill a schedule.
  • Real surgical exposure. First assist in the OR, handle deep and superficial closures, and round on your own patients. You'll get well beyond clinic-only work.
  • Full scope in clinic. Order and read imaging, build treatment plans, reduce fractures, do joint injections and aspirations, and perform minor office procedures.
  • Physician-led, with big-group backing. It's a practice run by physicians, backed by the resources of a national musculoskeletal care network.
  • A growing market. Frisco and Plano are two of the fastest-growing suburbs in the country, which means steady patient volume and room to grow your practice.
  • Texas living. There's no state income tax, plus easy access to everything the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex has to offer.
What you'll do

In clinic: Complete exams, pre-op and post-op evaluations, diagnostics (X-ray, MRI, CT, labs, DEXA, Doppler), diagnosis and treatment planning, fracture and dislocation reductions, casting and splinting, injections and aspirations, bracing and DME fitting, prescribing, patient education, and phone triage.

In the hospital: Pre-op H&Ps, surgical first assist and closures, hospital rounds, discharge summaries, and first call for your physician, including admission and surgical scheduling decisions.

Administrative: Accurate documentation and coding, plus committee and professional development participation.

  • Medical (PPO, HDHP, and Surest plans), plus dental and vision
  • 401(k) with annual employer contributions
  • HSA/FSA, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D, and legal assistance
  • Employer-paid Employee Assistance Program
  • Up to 2 weeks of PTO to start, increasing with tenure
What you need
  • Graduate of an accredited PA program (new grads and experienced PAs welcome)
  • NPs are considered with a Surgical First Assist certification and a surgical background
  • Current, active license and certifications (or eligibility)
  • OR experience is a plus but not required for PAs
  • Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills
