We have flexible scheduling: Choose a 5×8, 4×10, part-time, or per-diem schedule. Evening and weekend hours are optional, not at all required.

About the Company

Active Marin is an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Mill Valley. For more than 17 years, we’ve helped an active Marin community recover from injury, stay healthy, and get back to the things they love. Our 3,000-square-foot clinic includes six private treatment rooms and a 1,000-square-foot gym with a Pilates reformer, squat and barbell rack, pneumatic cable system, treadmill, stationary bike, and open rehabilitation space. Mill Valley is just across the Golden Gate Bridge, with Mt. Tam, Muir Woods, and Stinson Beach close by.

About the Role

We are hiring a Physical Therapist to provide individualized, evidence-based care for a diverse orthopedic and sports medicine population. You will evaluate patients, create and progress treatment plans, lead therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation programs, document clinical progress, and collaborate with the broader care team.

What You Can Expect
  • One-on-one care with 45-minute treatment times, paid documentation time, and typically 8–10 patients per day
  • A normal weekday outpatient schedule, with a choice of 5×8s or 4×10s; optional evening and weekend hours are available for clinicians who prefer them
  • Substantial autonomy in your day-to-day clinical practice, with the community of a close-knit team of 6+ PTs, monthly lunch in-services, and optional quarterly dinners, hikes, and other team outings
  • For newer clinicians: a designated mentor and weekly check-ins
  • For experienced PTs: room to deepen or build a specialty, with CE support and recognition for advanced training
  • Opportunities to develop specialties in pelvic health, pediatrics, TMD, vestibular rehabilitation, advanced manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, adolescent sports, Pilates-based rehabilitation, and injury prevention
  • Compensation recognition for advanced training and certifications such as OCS, SCS, and FAAOMPT
Qualifications
  • Doctorate or master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • California Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain California licensure
  • Strong interpersonal, clinical, manual therapy, and therapeutic-exercise skills
  • Outpatient orthopedic and/or sports medicine experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
  • Commitment to compassionate, collaborative care and ongoing professional development
Pay range and compensation package
  • $110,000–$150,000 annual salary, based on experience, specialties, and responsibility; per-diem rate of $70–$80/hour
  • $5,000 signing bonus
  • 15 days paid time off plus 7 paid holidays
  • 401(k) plan with an automatic 3% employer contribution
  • Annual profit-sharing plan targeted at approximately 2% of salary
  • Health, dental, vision, and disability insurance
  • Continuing-education support, referral program, and up to $5,250/year in tax-free tuition reimbursement
  • Commuter benefit to help offset Golden Gate Bridge tolls
