Job summary

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Orthopedics Biddeford is recruiting a Physician Associate to join the Upper Extremity Team. The successful candidate will provide medical care through office-based evaluation and treatment of outpatients as well as orthopedic surgical support.

In outpatient practice, you will support the Orthopedic Surgeon and work cohesively with the surgical team. Orthopedic experience and NCCPA certification are preferred, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited physician associate/assistant program.
• Current Physician Associate license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure.
• NCCPA certification and current BLS.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care in outpatient evaluation and treatment of outpatients.
• Support Orthopedic Surgeon in the operating room and with surgical tasks.
• Participate in office call coverage as part of a shared rotation; weekend call required.
