Hospital for Special Surgery seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our orthopedic team in Florida. You will independently evaluate and manage patients, participate in perioperative care, and collaborate with surgeons to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold Florida licensure as PA or APRN, NCCPA/ANCC/ AANP certification, DEA registration, BLS/ACLS, and have at least 2 years of musculoskeletal experience in outpatient or OR settings.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Florida licensure as PA or APRN.
• NCCPA certification or national board certification (ANCC/AANP).
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• Active BLS/ACLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years musculoskeletal experience in outpatient and/or operating room settings.

Responsabilidades

• Independently evaluate and manage patients, including history, exam, and treatment planning.
• Independently manage post-operative patients and monitor recovery outcomes.
• Function as first assistant in surgical procedures and provide perioperative care.
• Perform office-based orthopedic procedures including joint injections, aspirations, and other approved procedures.
• Coordinate inpatient orders and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning.
• Provide patient education and ensure a responsive, patient-centered experience.
