BRISTOL HOSPITAL MULTI-SPECIALTY GROUP is seeking a General Orthopedic Physician Assistant (Per Diem) to provide comprehensive patient care across various stages, including pre-operative and post-operative procedures. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited program and hold relevant certifications.

This role requires collaboration with other medical staff and involves responsibilities like coordinating care, documenting patient records, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Associate program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Valid Connecticut medical license.
• Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration.
• Federal Drug Administration (DEA) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative care.
• Perform pre-op histories, physicals, and patient education.
• Document pertinent data on patient charts for clinical management.
• Evaluate consultation and nursing requests promptly.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care to optimize patient care.
