Job summary

Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, CO is seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to provide clinic, inpatient, and perioperative care alongside a collaborating orthopedic surgeon.

You will manage patients of all ages with extremity and spine issues, assist in the operating room, cast and inject, and participate in a collaborative, quality-focused team. The role offers Monday–Friday daytime shifts with no on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active NCCPA certification and Colorado PA license.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to complete credentialing package within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and consult on extremities and spine injuries across all ages.
• Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room as a surgical first assistant.
• Provide perioperative and inpatient care in collaboration with the treating surgeon.
• Document care and participate in quality assurance and team rounds.
• Counsel patients on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
