Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program; alternatively RN/NP pathway.
• CA licensure requirements include NP Furnishing Number, NP National Certificate, RN license, and NP Certificate.
• Physician Assistant License (CA) and PA National Certificate required; Basic Life Support and NPI.
• Must be flexible to work in primary care or specialty areas and follow regional practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective data (history).
• Collect objective data (physical examination).
• Develop an assessment (diagnosis).
• Develop and implement a management plan.
• Refer patients to appropriate facilities and resources.
• Order pharmacologic interventions.
• Develop and implement an educational plan.
• Plan for follow-up care.
• Manage care of patients with complex medical or surgical conditions.
