Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification to support an operative sports medicine surgeon in West Chester and Kennett Square, PA. The role combines clinic evaluations with OR first-assist duties and requires PA licensing in Pennsylvania.

Two days in the OR and three days in the clinic, with responsibilities spanning patient assessment, order entry, wound care, and coordination with therapy

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations of new patients, post-op patients, and follow-up patients with supervising physician
• Evaluate and treat post-op patients independently when supervising physician is away
• Dictate patient office notes in Company HER system
• Order and review X-rays and other diagnostic studies
• Communicate with OR staff and nursing staff to ensure cases run smoothly
• First-assist in surgery and perform wound closure and splinting
• Provide post-operative orders and discharge instructions

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
