Tufts Medicine in Boston is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant - Orthopedics to support physicians in delivering high-quality care to patients. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, ordering tests, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, coordinate patient care across services, and educate patients and families on treatment options and prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Successful completion of Physician Assistant program.
• PA licensure within the first three months following membership and privilege.
• NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Manages a broad spectrum of patients and performs a wide range of clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to assess health status, obtain histories and perform exams, and to diagnose health and developmental problems.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care individualized to patient needs using established standards and coordinates with supervising physicians.
• Maintains accurate records and documents administrative information for care and billing.
• Educates patients and families on treatment options, health maintenance and prevention, adjusting plans as necessary.
• May orient and train new Physician Assistants and coordinate staff schedules as needed.
• Participates in rounds and assists with patient management and disposition, handling emergencies when required.
