Job summary

The Orthopaedic Center in Huntsville, AL seeks a Physician Assistant to work with an orthopedic sports physician on interventional pain and cancer pain management. Expect a four/five-day work week with rotation across Huntsville, Madison, and Decatur locations; minimal call and no weekend duties.

Candidate must be licensed in Alabama with NCCPA certification. Shadowing of at least 3 months is anticipated; strong communication and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• NCCPA certification and Alabama license required.
• Experience or interest in sports medicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with board-certified orthopedic sports physician in interventional pain and cancer pain management.
• Run concurrent and independent clinics; refer for diagnostic treatments/tests.
• Order and review labs; evaluate X-ray, CT, and MRI results; document in EMR.
• Assist in surgery and participate in patient care planning.
• Shadowing period of at least 3 months.
