Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Surgery Orthopedic Specialist for a full-time role (80 hrs per pay period) to support the OR team under RN or physician supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of direct care experience, and preferably prior OR experience; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain sterile technique is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of direct care experience or training.
• Previous OR experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating room setup and sterilization.
• Prepare equipment, case carts, and positioning aids.
• Support patient transfers and positioning under RN/physician guidance.
• Maintain sterile technique and stock OR rooms.
• Respond to signals and assist nursing staff as needed.
