Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care across the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. You will advocate for patients and families while delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Requirements include 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience, state RN licensure (compact allowed), and BCLS. ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required for Mississippi and/or compact state.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred where applicable.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings.
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care across the nursing process.
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects per protocol.
• Assist physicians during procedures and collaborate with care teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and patient safety standards.
• Engage in performance improvement and ongoing professional development.
• Assist in OR services before, during, and after surgery as needed.
