Qualifications

• Rhode Island RN licensure required.
• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
• Experience providing care to patients across the life span.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads and delegates safe nursing care with staff.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates on discharge planning with the care team.
• Provides patient and family teaching.
• Participates in unit quality improvement and research.
• Maintains clinical competencies including BLS and ACLS/PALS as appropriate.
• Supports education and precepts new graduates.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
