Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide first assist support in orthopedic oncology surgeries, with outpatient care across diagnosis, planning, and postoperative surveillance.

You will join a world-class, multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate cancer care, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff in a fast-paced OR and clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification.
• Active New York and New Jersey State licenses (or eligibility).
• Experience as a surgical first assist in the operating room; orthopedic and/or orthopedic oncology experience preferred.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Current New York and New Jersey RN and NP licenses (or eligibility).
• Master's degree in Nursing.
• National NP certification.
• Prescriptive privileges (or eligibility).
• RNFA certification and operating room first assist experience required; orthopedic and/or orthopedic oncology experience preferred.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist support for orthopedic oncology surgical procedures.
• In outpatient settings, see patients through shared and independent visits from diagnosis to postoperative care and surveillance.
• Deliver compassionate, cutting-edge cancer care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
