Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Orthopedic Oncology team. The role supports both the operating room and outpatient clinic, providing first assist in surgeries and in-clinic care across the patient journey.

The position emphasizes collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists and perioperative staff, with a mix of surgical and ambulatory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification.
• Active New York and New Jersey State licenses (or eligibility).
• Experience as a surgical first assist; ortho/ortho-oncology preferred.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist support for orthopedic oncology surgeries in OR.
• See patients in outpatient clinics with shared and independent visits.
• Manage care from diagnosis and planning through postoperative and surveillance.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams in OR and outpatient settings.
