Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL seeks an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join a collaborative team providing clinic, hospital rounding, surgical support, and postoperative management. You will work with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive musculoskeletal care aligned with the ministry’s mission.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in orthopedic/sports medicine with an NP degree, Florida APRN license, and national certification.

Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current Florida APRN license.
National certification.
BLS certification.
Minimum of two (2) years of orthopedic, sports medicine, surgical, or related advanced practice experience.

Responsibilities

Clinical Care: conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, diagnose and manage orthopedic conditions, develop evidence-based treatment plans with supervising physicians, order and interpret tests, manage non-operative conditions, and perform office-based procedures as applicable.
Surgical & Hospital Responsibilities: assist with pre- and post-operative evaluations, conduct inpatient rounds, monitor recovery, and coordinate discharge planning.
Care Coordination: educate patients and families, coordinate with primary care and rehab teams, ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.
Documentation & Compliance: maintain EMR documentation, adhere to standards, participate in quality improvement.
