Job summary

AdventHealth West Florida seeks a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic and Pain Management team in Zephyrhills, Florida. You will work with board-certified orthopedic surgeons and pain specialists to evaluate, treat, and manage musculoskeletal conditions and spine-related issues.

Key duties include collaborating on treatment plans, assisting with perioperative orthopedic care, ordering and interpreting imaging, and educating patients on recovery and prevention.

Qualifications

• Master's from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Florida PA-C license.
• National board certification as a PA-C.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Spine, Sports Medicine, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Assist with pre- and postoperative orthopedic care.
• Order, interpret diagnostic studies (labs, X-rays, CT, MRI).
• Educate patients on treatment options and recovery expectations.
• Coordinate care with specialists and therapists.
• Document encounters accurately in EMR.
• Support quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
