Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Unit with night shifts. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week, 7:00pm–7:30am, and every other weekend.

You will assess patients, coordinate plans of care, teach families, and participate in quality improvement while staying current with nursing practice standards. Illinois RN licensure and CPR are required, with an Associate's degree or BSN.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice via quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
