Job summary

Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a Certified Medical Coder (CPC) to join the Coding/Billing Team. The role focuses on orthopedic coding for office visits and surgical procedures, ensuring accurate coding with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of orthopedic coding experience, CPC certification, and proficiency in MS Office. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits including 401k, PTO, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Orthopedic coding experience.
• CPC certification or equivalent required.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Code patient office visits and surgical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Assign modifiers to procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure complete notes and reports.
• Serve as coding consultant and resource for providers.
• Identify discrepancies, potential quality of care, and billing issues.
• Enter coding charges promptly and assign copays and other payments.
• Collaborate with coding/billing team and other departments on special projects.
