OrthoVirginia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support orthopedic care teams across Virginia. You’ll prepare exam rooms, welcome patients, document vital signs, and assist physicians during visits, therapies and procedures.

This fast-paced, team‑oriented role rewards clear communication, organization, and compassionate patient interactions. You’ll coordinate follow‑up care, schedule pre‑op testing, and help patients understand casts, braces, and rehab steps to ensure a smooth care journey.

Responsabilités

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure areas are ready for patients and providers.
• Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history.
• Support physicians and clinical staff with patient care during visits.
• Educate patients on orthopedic care, cast and brace use.
• Enter orders for X-rays, physical therapy, and other services.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and post-operative visits.
• Assist with surgery scheduling and pre-operative testing prep.
• Help manage patient flow to keep visits efficient.
• Respond to patient calls and triage concerns promptly.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam, treatment, and bracing rooms.
• Follow safety procedures for sharps and biohazard disposal.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to enhance patient experience.
