Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Rochester, MI seeks a part-time Medical Assistant for our Orthopedic Clinic. You will blend administrative duties with clinical tasks to support providers and enhance patient flow.

You will welcome patients, document histories, assist with examinations, administer medications/immunizations as directed, and maintain accurate EHR notes. Strong interpersonal skills and EPIC experience preferred; a MA program graduate or LPN/EMT are acceptable qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hours) or recent clinical MA experience.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and guide them through visits and preparations.
• Collect and document vital signs and patient histories for clinical decisions.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures per protocols.
• Administer medications and immunizations as prescribed with proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation of all patient interactions.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and maintain composure.
