Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Marietta and Woodstock seeks an Orthopedic Medical Assistant / X-Ray Support to join a busy, patient-centered clinic. This on-site, full-time role combines MA duties with occasional radiology tasks, providing hands-on orthopedic experience in a supportive team.

You will guide patients, review intake forms, coordinate tests and surgeries, and help keep EMR up to date. The ideal candidate has CMA/CNA training, a solid medical office background, and a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited CNA, CMA, or Certified Ortho Tech program (or equivalent).
• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred).
• Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Function as Orthopedic Medical Assistant while also assisting with x-ray duties when needed.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, assist with dressing/undressing, and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Review patient registration details, collect necessary forms, and complete EMR intake documentation.
• Prepare surgical orders, schedule lab tests and diagnostic procedures, obtain test results, and manage medical clearances for surgeries.
• Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals; monitor and respond to physician queues.
• Demonstrate proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment (DME) like braces and soft goods when needed.
• Stay highly organized and detail-oriented to ensure smooth patient interactions.
• Communicate with professionalism, empathy, and clarity in a busy clinic setting.

What You'll Do

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
