Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons at the Glenview and Wilmette clinics. The role blends administrative duties with hands-on clinical support, ensuring efficient outpatient operations and quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has a CMA certification (preferred) or Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, CPR, and experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CMA) preferred
• Recent pre-med, pre-PA or athletic training/kinesiology graduates welcome to apply
• Certification as CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA preferred and CPR certification maintained

Responsibilities

• Perform daily administrative and clinical duties in outpatient clinic settings
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians as needed
• Coordinate referrals and scheduling of therapies, tests and procedures
• Maintain infection control and sterile processing in exam rooms and procedure areas
• Process prescriptions and educate patients on medications and side effects
• Assist with patient flow, charting, and documentation in electronic health records
