Job summary

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support an orthopedic team at two MA locations. You will combine direct patient care with essential administrative tasks to ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for patients and care teams.

You will balance front-end duties, clinical duties, and documentation while maintaining high standards for patient privacy and safety in a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1–2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience or related medical field experience required.
• Prior hands-on experience with orthopedic casting is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, escort to exam rooms and support flow.
• Interview patients, document medical information and vitals.
• Assist providers with clinical care and instructions.
• Collect and prepare specimens for testing; perform phlebotomy when competent.
• Administer immunizations when certified and supervised.
• Maintain immunization inventory and monitor expiry dates.
• Support junior staff with onboarding and training.
• Complete office duties and coordinate with departments.
