Job summary

Covenant Health's Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Med/Surg unit. The role involves direct nursing care for assigned patients, with three 12-hour shifts per week and weekend rotation, and comprehensive full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of etiology, pathophysiology and prognosis for illnesses; nursing process; hospital policies and regulations.
• Experience preferred in specialty areas; current nursing knowledge and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans with measurable outcomes.
• Ensure care aligns with medical plan and current standards; assign team members as appropriate.
• Maintain documentation of each patient’s care plan at least every 24 hours.
• Demonstrate infection control principles and participate in safety initiatives.
