Job summary

OrthoLoneStar is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support orthopedic surgeons in adult joint reconstruction. The role is clinic-based with responsibilities from patient evaluation to pre/post-operative care and in-office procedures.

Collaboration with the surgeon and other staff is essential for high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced practice. The PA/NP will assist in surgery as needed and must uphold Texas rules, maintain documentation, and provide clear

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current, unrestricted Texas license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Current national certification appropriate to the provider's profession (NCCPA for PA or applicable NP cert).
• DEA and Texas DPS registration for prescriptive authority, if applicable.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification or willing to obtain, if required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients focusing on adult joint reconstruction.
• Manage pre- and post-operative care; coordinate treatment plans.
• Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections and aspirations.
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatments, rehabilitation, and recovery expectations.
• Assist orthopedic surgeon in the operating room as needed and participate in pre- and post-operative evaluations.
• Maintain compliant medical records per Texas regulations.
