Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• State licensure and/or certification as required by the state of practice.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of X-ray tech experience, orthopedic/clinical setting preferred.
• Proficiency in digital radiography systems and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging: accurate X-rays following orthopedic protocols and safety guidelines.
• Educate patients on imaging procedures and ensure comfort while maintaining safety (radiation shielding).
• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment; conduct regular inspections and calibration for safety and performance.
• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and staff to provide diagnostic support and timely image acquisition.
• Process and archive images using digital radiography systems; maintain EMR image files and patient records.
• Adhere to HIPAA and radiation safety regulations; proper handling and disposal of radiographic materials.
• Conduct quality control checks on X-ray equipment and images to ensure diagnostic clarity.
