Job summary
Indiana University Health in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced RN for the Hand & Upper Extremity Program in a full-time, on-site role with the potential for one remote workday per week after six months. You will work closely with an orthopedic hand and shoulder surgeon on high-volume cases, including total shoulder replacements, and provide comprehensive perioperative and postoperative care to patients.
Qualifications
Requires ASN with RN licensure in Indiana; BSN preferred.
Active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions for >2 years' clinical experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional ALS may be required per unit.
Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
Provide triage, education, and perioperative care (pre- and post-op).
Assist with minor procedures and wound care; ensure accurate documentation.
Prepare medications and coordinate scheduling; support MA team.
Complete FMLA and disability paperwork and coordinate care transitions.
Travel between Indianapolis and Carmel locations as needed.
