Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group in Gilbert, Arizona seeks an Orthopedic Hand Surgery Advanced Practitioner (PA-C or NP) to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic acute setting. You’ll cover weekly clinic duties, assist in surgery, administer injections, perform rounds, and participate in QA/QI initiatives as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Eligible candidates hold PA-C with AZ license or MSN and active/eligible licenses, with DEA registration; 2+ years Hand Surgery experience preferred.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Orthopedic Hand Surgery Advanced Practitioner, you will be a pivotal asset in acute care patient management, delivering comprehensive orthopedic support in a dynamic Gilbert, Arizona environment. Focused on hand surgery, you'll leverage your expertise as either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is perfect for a highly motivated healthcare professional seeking an impactful position within an orthopedic team.

Every day you will drive orthopedic care. The position will perform:

  • Weekly clinic coverage working alongside the Physician.
  • Possible after hours call for emergent patient needs transferred from after hours call service.
  • Rounding in the hospital.
  • Administer injections with and without ultrasound guidance.
  • Surgical first assisting, including wound closure and splint application.
  • Maintain current knowledge of orthopedic practices through continuing medical education.
  • Order, interpret and analyze diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and physical therapy as necessary.
  • Participants in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care.
  • Works within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements
Required
PA
  • Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff.
  • 2+ years Hand Surgery experience would be desired.
NP
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license
  • Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC
  • Valid DEA registration
  • RNFA
  • 2+ years Hand Surgery experience would be desired.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff

Pay Range

$112,569 - $163,217 /year
