Job summary

OSS Health in the Hanover area seeks a Medical Assistant to support the Orthopedic and Pain clinics. You will assist physicians, prepare exam rooms, document in the EMR, and help with patient flow.

This PRN/part-time role requires completing a Medical Assistant certification within 6 months, BLS, and comfort with vitals and injections. Travel to Gettysburg as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; MA certification preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before independent work.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and assist the physician in examinations.
• Interview patients, measure vitals, and record information.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with injections and casts.
• Submit prescriptions and document in EMR, coordinate scheduling.
• Travel to Gettysburg office as needed.
