Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking an Orthopedic Clinical Assistant to provide clinical support and administrative help across multiple clinics. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking medical histories, preparing for evaluation, assisting with casting and DME, and handling patient records and paperwork.

The role is a full-time float with a Mon-Fri schedule 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and flexibility to move among Summit locations in the Twin Cities region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of clinical experience, preferably orthopedics.
• Casting/splinting certification desired or willingness to obtain.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient flow and room patients; obtain medical histories and prepare patients for evaluation.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for examinations; clean and stock rooms between patients.
• Assist with casting, splinting, suture removal, and dispensing DME as directed by provider.
• Provide patient education instructions verbally or in writing.
