Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse in the Orthopedic Clinic at Stony Point, Richmond, VA. The RN will provide age-specific care, assist the health care team, and document care according to medical orders within an integrated plan of care.

You will administer medications safely, participate in triage and education, and support leadership responsibilities on the unit. The clinic operates 7am–5pm with no weekend, night, or holiday shifts required and free parking on campus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience, preferably in the inpatient setting.
• RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• Diploma or Associate degree in nursing; BSN encouraged.
• Provide and document direct, age-specific care per medical orders and plan.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and accurately document direct, age-specific care per orders.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions.
• Mobilize resources to meet patient and family needs on the unit.
• Assist health care team with prevention of illness and injury and wellness maintenance.
• Lead and educate staff on unit duties and care delivery.
