Job summary

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a highly skilled Orthopedic Casting Technician to join our growing team in Alaska. In a collaborative environment, you will learn to apply and remove plaster and synthetic casts, fit walking aids, and support surgeons and assistants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical-specific certification preferred.
• Experience with casting, splinting, and orthopedic devices preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and patient safety basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform splinting, casting, and application of braces under physician guidance.
• Assist with patient care activities and dressing changes as appropriate.
• Educate patients on care, safety, and use of walking aids.
• Document care and manage casting supplies and equipment.
